Research

Design of asymmetric catalysts that enhance the stereochemical outcome of free-radical cyclizations. Currently, work is being pursued on the development of asymmetric coordination catalysts composed of various nitrogen and oxygen ligands and low-valent iron, copper, and nickel metals. Model reactions are being investigated to discover and tune selective catalysts that may then be applied for the total synthesis of biologically active compounds.
