Research

Dr. Hewitt’s research interests focus on 1) laboratory studies of the kinetics, reaction mechanisms, and spectroscopy of atmospheric species using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, gas chromatography, laser ionization spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry, 2) development of new analytical methods for atmospheric chemistry studies, and 3) computational calculations of atmospheric species (in collaboration with Dr. Fu-Ming Tao).
